Imagine a life where you’re not always in control of what you do or say. You might involuntarily shrug your shoulders around – or out of nowhere, begin cursing for no apparent reason. This is Tourette’s Syndrome. It is estimated that about 200,000 people in the U.S. have the most severe form of Tourette’s.
In the minutes to come, you’ll meet Sheryl Diamond, who lives with Tourette’s. But you won’t get to know her because of her disability. Instead, you’ll get to know her through the things and people she values most.

Faculty Notes: Francine demonstrates very professional and highly effective interviewing skills in working with Sheryl. She uses studio interviews, raw ambient sound bites and music changes that reflect her narrative. Francine exhibits adaptability in working in editing in a producing mistake she made that actually adds to her story, rather than takes away.
