PCC’s student-run newspaper, The Courier, actually started before Pasadena City College did.
Originally called The Chronicle, the paper we now know as “the independent student voice of PCC” published its first edition in 1915–under the auspices of what was then Pasadena High School. (The high school would add courses to become “Pasadena Junior College” in 1924.)
Ninety-six years later, Christine Michaels discovered The Courier, as a staff reporter. Now Editor-in- Chief, she tells PCC Voices anchor Dot Cannon that it was “love at first write”.
