Every spring, PCC’s Cross-Cultural Center and English Division present a challenge.

With their annual “Borders of Diversity” conference, they inspire students to question the ways they think–about themselves and their communities.

This year’s “Borders of Diversity” conference began with a student panel entitled “Environmentalism for the People”.  In this particular panel, five student speakers from an honors English class presented their papers on a student-friendly approach to taking care of our earth.

Speaker Bordeaux Martin presented his paper entitled “Healing for the Earth Community”.  After the presentation, Bordeaux explained the relationship between sustainable living and our relationship with other communities, and talked about the growth process he and his fellow students had experienced.
