A “Nightmare” That’s Fun

Musician/filmmaker Rob Zombie is a hardcore Halloween horror fan.

And this year, he’s combined the things he loves–to give Southern California its first-ever Halloween-haunt-and-heavy-metal experience, with Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare!

The attraction, at the Pomona Fairplex, is not for everyone.  With three “sick and twisted” haunted houses and a fifteen-day music festival featuring live heavy-metal, alternative rock, EDM and Latin music, organizers warn this attraction won’t be for anyone who’s easily offended–or easily scared.

But fans of bloodcurdling horror have given the experience high marks.  One reviewer referred to Zombie’s creations as “the most intensely disturbing haunted house we have ever seen” before going on to say it was a “hell of a good time.”

John Reese, music co-producer for Rob Zombie’s Great American Nightmare, talked with Over Coffee host Dot Cannon about his experiences as an artist, creating this new and over-the-top Halloween experience.
