Valerie Wardlaw thrives on the unexpected.  Her new job, as PCC’s Director of Public Relations, promises to deliver.  Valerie, who credits her leadership skills to her membership in iconic sorority Delta Sigma Theta, moved into her new position after Juan Gutierrez’s recent promotion to his new post as Director of Governmental and Community Relations.   Now, she says, her workdays will be full of challenges–and she finds those exhilarating.

Valerie talked with “Over Coffee” host, Dot Cannon about her background and several current PCC issues–including the college’s stance on implementing controversial AB 955, which would triple the cost of some classes.
