Pasadena City College recently hosted a celebration of family and community–better known as San Gabriel Valley Pride Festival 2012.
San Gabriel Valley Pride Festival started in 2001, as a picnic in the park. Over the years, it’s grown to include entertainment, discussion panels, a classic car show and all kinds of exhibits. This year’s Pride Festival was themed “The Road to Equality,” and included two “firsts”: participation in the Big Draw L.A. arts event, AND a brand-new authors’ lounge.
Lancer Radio reporter Dot Cannon explored Pride Festival 2012 and talked with a number of the participants and organizers.
